Lithia Springs Library Genealogical Resources


This is a guide to some basic genealogy resources that relate to Douglas County.  They are located in Special Collections at the Lithia Springs Public Library.


Birth Records

The Douglas County Health Department has Douglas County birth records (from 1919 to the present).  If you are looking for the names of someone’s parents, you may want to also look in the Census for the years when the person was a child.



The Lithia Springs Public Library does not have a cemetery book but the library in Carrollton has:

Marriage Records

The Probate Court at the Douglas County Courthouse has Douglas County marriage and divorce records.
