What does the Neva Lomason Memorial Library do?

About the Friends of the Neva Lomason Memorial Library

The Friends of the Library is a group of individuals and businesses dedicated to the support of our local library, primarily through the raising of funds to purchase books and equipment not otherwise covered by the library’s normal operating budget. Major purchases have included books for the children’s room, adult fiction, large print books, copy room equipment, and computer terminals.

Used book sales, which are held weekly at the Barker House next door to the Library, provide our greatest source of income. When you make room on your shelves for new acquisitions, we hope you’ll bring the books you no longer want to the library for resale. We can also use books and music on
tape, videos, CDs, and phonograph records. Another source of income is membership dues. If you believe in what we’re doing for you, your family, and your community, please consider joining the Friends by filling out a membership application and returning it to us with your dues of just $15. In return, you’ll our quarterly newsletter and notification of special events and activities, including exciting Friends-sponsored author visits and book signings. And you’ll be supporting a very good cause!
